- Fish were collected by letting down: a fyke net for 12 h in three stations of Lesina and Varano and for 24 h in two stations of Alimini; a trammel net for 6 h in three stations of Lesina and Varano and two stations of Alimini.

- Fish were carried to the laboratory, sorted and frozen. Subsequently, individuals were identified at the species or genus level and counted, measured (Total Length, TL: _1 mm) and weighed (Wet Weight, WW: _0.001 g).
