      <para>This dataset includes measurements of oxygen consumption and resting metabolic rate of anchialine organisms beloging to seven different species sampled in 2024 at five sites in Lanzarote (Canary Islands, Spain). The organisms’ resting metabolic rates were investigated in a series of constant-volume respirometry assays performed in situ at field water temperature and in the laboratory at target temperatures to evaluate individual thermal sensitivity.</para>
