55a5072c-33bb-4dff-a2f9-98052b4942c0 Long-term monitoring of megabenthic communities in the Dogger Bank (Central North Sea) 1991-01-01 This monitoring program focuses on the annual sampling of megabenthic species in the Dogger Bank area, located in the central North Sea. The dataset includes species occurrence and abundance data collected from 37 locations within the 30m depth contour, spanning from 1991 to 2011 (excluding 1998, 200, and 2007). The main objective is to track long-term changes in megabenthos diversity and abundance to detect environmental changes.<div>A total of 194 species across multiple phyla are recorded, including Pisces, Mollusca, Arthropoda, Cnidaria, Echinodermata, Annelida, Bryozoa, Porifera, Tunicata and Nemertea. Sampling is conducted using a 2 m trawl for epibenthos and a Hamon grab for sediments.
