66c2ca2d-b62c-4a77-b9e7-f3840c02b419 Monitoring of rocky reef communities in Tuscan Archipelago 2005-01-01 Since 2005, periodic monitoring is conducted at multiple shallow reef sites across the Tuscan Archipelago, including areas both inside and outside marine protected zones. Sampling occurs approximately every 3-4 years and targets reef fishes and benthic communities using standardized transects. Reef fish surveys are conducted along 2.5x5 m transects at 32 sites, using two complementary protocols since 2022 to allow intercalibration. Th project generates annotated datasets and imagery to support long-term biodiversity assessment and species identification.
