It is intended exclusively for testing and validation purposes within the LUCAS Soil Virtual Research Environment (VRE). It is not suitable for scientific analysis, interpretation, or any attempt to reconstruct the original LUCAS sampling locations or measurements.
To protect confidentiality and prevent the re-identification of sampling locations, several anonymisation procedures have been applied: (1)Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) have been completely removed from the datasets. (2)The original POINT_ID identifiers have been replaced by randomly generated identifiers, which do not preserve any direct link to the original sampling points.
