It is defined as NDVI=(NIR-Red)/(NIR+Red) where NIR corresponds to the reflectance in the near infrared band, and Red to the reflectance in the red band. Method Step

Description

The input data are the 10-daily Top of the Canopy reflectances measured by the PROBA-VEGETATION sensor. The NDVI is calculated using the Red and Nir relfectance values while filtering out all observations indicated as not good by the Status Map. These non-optimal observations are indicated as a flag (digital value >250) together with the water derived from a Land Sea mask.
