    <abstract>
      <para>The High Resolution Layer Water and Wetness provides information about the presence and condition of water and wet surfaces at the pan-European level. It shows the occurrence of water and wet surfaces over a period of seven years and includes four classes: permanent water, temporary water, permanent wetness, and temporary wetness. The product is provided in high resolution for the 2015 and 2018 reference years. It has a wide range of applications, including supporting policy decisions, aiding in climate change research, hydrological modelling, habitat mapping, and urban planning. High Resolution Layer Water and Wetness product is part of the European Union’s Copernicus Land Monitoring Service.</para>
