Monitoring of rocky intertidal algal and invertebrate communities at Capraia island, Tuscan Archipelago
This program monitors rocky intertidal ecosystems at Praia island, part of the Tuscan Archipelago UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The focus is on algal and invertebrate communities, assessed annually using percent cover and counts in 20x20 cm quadrats. The aim is to understand long-term ecological dynamics in Mediterranean intertidal habitats. Target groups include macroalgae (Rhodophyta, Ochrophyta, Chlorophyta), crustaceans, echinoderms, and other.
