    <abstract>
      <para>This dataset provides individual-level morphological and reproductive trait data for Arctic deep-sea copepods of the genus Paraeuchaeta, collected at the oceanographic mooring S1 in the south-eastern Fram Strait (Arctic Ocean) between 2015 and 2024. Specimens were collected using sediment traps deployed at two depths (516 and 1002 m) and include different developmental stages, from eggs and nauplii to copepodites and adults.
The dataset includes taxonomic information on Paraeuchaeta norvegica, P. barbata barbata, and P. glacialis, along with developmental stages, sex identification, and a range of morphometric measurements related to body size, anatomical structures, and reproductive characteristics. Reproductive traits include measurements of eggs and egg sacs, providing information on reproductive investment and offspring characteristics.
This dataset provide a valuable resource for investigating interspecific and ontogenetic morphological variability, reproductive strategies, and functional trait diversity in Arctic deep-sea copepods, supporting comparative trait-based ecological studies.</para>

        <description>Zooplankton specimens were collected using two automated sediment traps deployed at the S1 mooring site: a McLane sediment trap (Mod 78HW, 13 receiving cups, 0.5 m² collecting area) positioned at 1002 m depth (2015–2024) and a Technicap sediment trap positioned at 516 m depth (2022–2023). Sampling intervals ranged from 15 to 30 days, with shorter intervals during summer and longer intervals during winter. Some scheduled samples at 1002 m depth were lost due to sediment trap rotation failures and maintenance delays. Collection cups were prefilled with filtered (0.45 µm) Arctic seawater containing 5% buffered formaldehyde solution.</description>
