At each site, aquatic macrofauna were sampled during two seasonal campaigns covering winter 2023 and summer 2024, using standardized net sweeps. For each event and site, organisms were identified to the lowest possible taxonomic level, and described by life stage and a functional group label (e.g. water beetle larvae, mosquito larvae, fish, crayfish, tadpoles, snails, oligochaetes). Abundance is recorded as counts of individuals per taxon; when the sample was too large, only a known fraction of the material was sorted and total counts were extrapolated accordingly, with notes indicating “Sample too big” or, when no fauna was found, “Nothing”.
