    <abstract>
      <para>This dataset was compiled by a. gathering data and taxonomic revision of polychaetes records from published literature, b. adding new species from sampling on the Gulf of Gabes Tidal channels, and c. from the systematic revision of the polychaetes collection deposited at the Institut National des Sciences et Technoligies de la mer (INSTM); which were confused with their congeneric species. The regional distribution of the species is Western and Central Mediterranean.</para>
