Phytoplankton monitoring in the Belgian part of the North Sea
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; line-height: 18.4px; font-size: medium; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: rgb(0, 0, 0); white-space: normal;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 20.700001px; font-family: -webkit-standard, serif;">Since 2017, monthly monitoring of phytoplankton communities has been conducted in the Belgian part of the North Sea. The monitoring aims to observe changes in phytoplankton abundance, diversity, and phenology over years. Sampling is performed using Apstein nets (55 µm mesh size), targeting water column habitats including sand bank systems and coastal waters.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
