Zooplankton are collected by vertical hauls from 15 m to the surface using a WP2 net with 200 µm mesh, 56 cm diameter.
Samples were fixed with Ca(HCO3)2-buffered formaldehyde (2-4% final concentration) for determination of species abundance and composition. Individuals were sorted and counted under binocular microscope.
