The dataset contains abundance and biomass data of four species of gelatinous zooplankton (<i>Mnemiopsis leidyi, Beroe ovata, Aurelia aurita, Pleurobrachia pileus</i>) obtained in October 2005 and October - November 2010 (32 stations in October 2005 and 98 stations in October - November 2010) in the Northwestern Black Sea.

Research on marine mammals was conducted in 1988-2006 and sightings were collected from each ferry on the Adriatic Sea. The lines included: Italy, Yugoslavia, Albania, and Greece. We had 175 sightings in 12 years. For each sighting, we collected: date, time, weather condition, sea position, numbers of animals, kind of animals, depth and so on.<p>

Dataset with abundance and growth data of the western Baltic spring spawning herring in the main spawning area Greifswald Bay. The yearly survey is carried out by the Thünen Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries once per week during the herring spawning season from March to June. The survey provides the base for an annual recruitment index (N20) used for the assessment of this herring stock. WGIPS is the ICES group responsible for this dataset.
