EDP Foz Tua Otter (Lutra lutra) [transects] - Ecological Monitoring Program (2011-17)

The dataset contains records of otter (Lutra lutra, Mammalia) collected in the Rivers Tua and Douro sub-basins and included in the Ecological Monitoring Program (2011-17) of the Environmental Impact Assessment of the Foz Tua Hydroelectric Dam, promoted by EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A. Data were collected between June 2011 and July 2017 during field visits to 12 sampling transects in the riverbeds of the selected water lines with favorable habitats in the river Tua sub-basin. The presence of individuals was recorded by direct observation of signs (scats and/or footprints).
