Quality Data For Aloft Virtual Lab
Currently weather radar data is processed to biologically relevant metrics (vertical profiles) at the European collaboration between radar meteorologists. Here data is used where frequently biological information is already filtered. Higher quality of biological data can be obtained by accessing data directly from the meteorological institutes. This was clearly shown in the case of German weather radar data. However data is only public for three days therefore continues processing is needed. All software to do this processing (r packages getRad, bioRad and vol2birdR) is functional. This virtual lab is used for the creation, maintenance and running of a recurring workflow to process this data. <div>The vLab has been created by using the LifeWatch NaaVRE platform (<a href=" https://naavre.net" target="_blank"> https://naavre.net</a>).</div>
